    If Simon made a php encoder, it would still be very easy to crack. PHP Encoding is near impossible.

    No it's not. I could encode a string and you would never, ever, ever, ever be able to crack it. But, I wouldn't be able to decode it

    Id probs make something like a flash application to grab information about their computer. Mac IDs mainly.

    http://mybrowserinfo.com/detail.asp?bhcp=1

    See what information you can grab except from an IP.

    The best way i'd say to encode a string is like so
    <?php
    $string = 'dongs';
    $hash = '*£u\\oisaASDD.//p)"£&"%*$"1]32498';
    $string = md5( $string . $hash );
    ?>

    I'd only ban if there was a usersystem. However, if there was a severe case, I'd use a machine / ip ban.
