I only read two pages of this thread, then I decided I didn't want to read 11 more pages about the letter "f". I *believe* it was because of the ?. Lm*ao has been filtered for a while, however when placed directly next to a question mark it becomes unfiltered. The same has happened with other swearwords. As it seems that the mistake was genuine, I will reverse the warning.
I'll see what can be done about the question mark problem. And the users should not be taking advantage of this in an attempt to avoid the filter and pretend that it was a mistake.
There is still debate that could happen, as to why f should be allowed in the word without filtering it. However I don't really see a reason for it (and if you want to place emphasis, put a simple * between the a and the o. That seems harmless to me, you eliminate the entire swearword, those who know it know what you mean, and those who don't don't have to be exposed to it, which is the point of filtering the entire swearword.Last edited by nvrspk4; 12-05-2008 at 09:55 PM.
