Option to turn filtered words on/off?

msb. the idea is that the user decides whether or not swear words are censored.

I guess you could make two groups, registered and censored. Youre automatically put into censored but when you go to the groups page (like when you join the pixel artist group) you can change.

Yes I am kind of for the thing BUT I am saying, pretend I log out then visit a thread, reading through the thread there will probz be a word that has not been filtered.

if you don't know much about forums then why are you trying?
and no, it'd be like habbo, as the thread started said - tick a box to unfilter the language.

Either way i don't like the idea. It just encourages foul language for a pointless reason of wich people would abuse it.
Also it doesn't go away, and i don't particulaly want to have to look at "F" this n "S" this in every other thread. It doesn't look nice at all.

to above... if you dont want to see it then obviously go in the censored group lol. i think most of us are old enough to make our own decision on what to read and say.

Yes I know but there are still words that I never came across, weird unusual words... and posting in other languages like swear words... it doesn't look good for habbox + I heard plugins don't get installed here as sum security risk, I don't know, i read it tbh, don't go angry plz

I am saying, people may find swear words that are not common and may use it to call others... or try to be smart and post in another language and swear... Now If I was from example france... and then came to this habbo official site what has been posted earlier then I would not be impressed to see a person swearing in french...

and yes, guests, they would see words filtered. everyone would see words filtered unless the filter was turned off - what this is suggesting? :rolleyes:

and msb., if people find 'uncommon' swear words and use them, they will get filtered if they aren't already - if they post in another language, they get infractioned - it's against the rules. deary deary me.

to yoshi, i dont see how it encourages it because i dont talk differently on here, id still post swear words knwoing that they would be filtered. Id be no way more inclined to swear if the filter was off because, well, theres no filter on speach is their
