It is fast, i have uhh, only 1.4 or 1.6ghz cpu and 2gb ram so

When SP1 came out it became very fast for me. It's less of a resource hog than XP

If you've only just installed it it will be fast.
Give it a few months, it will get progressively slower as with any OSEx-janitor. Might pop in from time to time, otherwise you can grab all my information from http://jamesy.me.uk/
