Yep! The cheats don't disable the achievements, it's great.

when ur on the king kong main menu, and it has: play options extras and stuff, do that then itll pop up a cheat menu.

Yep. Video games are meant to be challenging and cheats are just for when you're stuck, and when you're done with the game and want to mess around. If you're using cheats deliberately to surpass the story, that is just lame and defeating the object of video games.
