What type of mac you got? I not seen my mac crash. About once? compared to my PC. I rather be on this smooth machine

    *Impossible to get viruses.

Unless the virus has been programmed to attack a specific computer, and a specific user account on that computer, it will not work.
    That went fast.

If it was like that easy to do it, why aren't people doing it then?

I've yet to find a Mac user who doesn't love their Mac. You get so many Windows users saying, "Oh I hate my PC, it's always crashing" or whatever... but with Mac's? Everyone who owns one loves them. It is a truly awesome, innovative product.
Vista never crashes, I have never heard someone say how much they love their Mac over a PC because Vista/XP crashes? I know quite a few people who absolutely hate the things, and they are using the top notch iMacs in our two school media suites.

Watching the videos you make your Mac is fricken slow, it takes ages to load up Photoshop etc... so ******** on your behalf.

Anything made by humans has errors, if there are errors, there are people to exploit them, if there are people to exploit them, there are Viruses for the Mac OS.

Because there aren't enough Mac users to justify writing a virus for, though, if thyey did they would get a hell of a lot of machines, I bet none of you are running any sort of AS, AV or Firewall.

Where does this idea that Macs don't get viruses? I hear it quite often yet see stories of viruses for Macs on the internet and the one thing Macs hate are Mac viruses, because they do a helluva lot more damage than when a PC gets one, because a PC can get around them and doesn't take alot of harm, yet a Mac crashes and most of the time you need a new one. Plus Macs crash badly wheneever they happen to crash, I know someone who's Mac deleted it's own OS. I don't hear that from a PC user, unless they're incredibly stupid.

How predictable for Tawm to come in a brag with his "amazing computer". You get very protective/defensive when it comes to these topics dont you?

We have a 3GB Ram 3.2 Ghz Vista computer which we use for song editing, storing recorded tracks, holding a large back catalogue of songs. Vista doesn't seem capable for that. It was much easier accessing them in XP. My parents are seriously considering getting a mac after seeing mine, and the fact that its visible more easier.

But yeah, thanks Tawm, provoke a fine situation why dont you (y).

And Nick. It is possible, its been done, but it is near impossible to get one. Most people say it is impossible, even apple. But im sure all tech machines have they're vulnerabilities.

Sorry, but Tawm - you're trolling. If you hate MAc OS X so much then why come trolling in the Apple forum? :S

My Mac loads Photoshop in 3 seconds flat... so I don't know where you've gotten this stupid idea that it takes ages to load Photoshop on a Mac. It depends on the spec?

When people say the market isn't big enough to make a virus for Mac's - that's total bull. Apple sell more computer than Dell, and although they may not have more Market share, they are used a lot. The arguement is flawed - do you not think if a Mac virus was possible somebody would of made one by now? Wouldn't it be awesome to be the first person int he world to make a virus for a Mac, even if there were only 100 people using Mac's? Someone would want to prove Apple and all the fanboys wrong no matter how big the user base was. I know if I had the knowledge to make a virus I'd be constantly trying to make a Mac virus (if it was possible) just for the glorification of being the first person in the world to create a virus for OS X.

Tom, stop becoming so defensive. This is a thread in the Apple catogery, about Mac's... You're trolling...
    That went fast.
