Habbox: Hobba List (Question)

Another point, if whoever sent me the list did get it from HabboAges, their list isn't correct and is missing some people. I'll be going through Habbox's page sometime in the future and try to make comparisons between the two. I've just looked on Habbo's list of Hobbas, looked back at HabboAges, and there are differences between the two ie. missing hobbas. Habbox's list also has differences between both Habbo's list and HabboAges' in that there are also some missing as listed on both sites, and also more than are listed on HabboAges in the few letters I compared. As that, its clear the list isn't copied.

I had a word with P1ckle and he decided to upload the updated list again this morning, all of the missing 2005 hobbas are now on the list and some of the 2001 hobbas too, there is an extra 50 or so added.

He told me that he isn't too bothered about this site using his list, so feel free to use the updated list he uploaded earlier today. I guess he would like some kind of recognition but he didn't exactly say that.

Hope this clears things, I should have asked him first I guess.

I had a word with P1ckle and he decided to upload the updated list again this morning, all of the missing 2005 hobbas are now on the list and some of the 2001 hobbas too, there is an extra 50 or so added.

He told me that he isn't too bothered about this site using his list, so feel free to use the updated list he uploaded earlier today. I guess he would like some kind of recognition but he didn't exactly say that.

Hope this clears things, I should have asked him first I guess.

We aren't using that list... as I said in previous posts the two lists have different names on them. Why would we want to use the updated list they've just uploaded when the list we have is fine as it is, yes I've found some more names whilst looking through Habbo archives in search for other things, so will add them once I finish this other project, but not just copy it from another fansite.

If you actually read what I said originally you would understand what I was talking about. Until 2-3 days ago the list you have currently on Habbox.com was identical to the list on HabboAges.tk, it was taken down and updated again today as it was brought to the owner's attention that this site had copied the content and that many hobbas were missing after reading this thread.

There is no way that people like 'Becksy', 'oreo', 'alienoreo', 'perl' and 'GB4U' would be on your list, as these people finished being hobbas in 2001 & 2002 which was around the time when the list on HabboAges was first made and long before habbo UK even had their own list on the homepage, from which Habbox made their hobba list in 2004.
Oh and why is jamie33 on there?

Like hoteluser said, the list was created with help from old hobbas such as gissberg, yonkers etc, I am sure if any of those guys are browsing this forum, they would have a similar opinion to myself and hoteluser.

I'm not bothered about the whole ripping the list from the site, as the owner isn't, what I am bothered about is how ignorant people are on here and what gives Habbox the right to take people's work without giving any kind of reference to where the information came.

Like I said earlier back in the day Habbox was practically run by most of the Hobbas so i'm sure they would be able to remember the names off ex Hobbas as they probably all would have been quite close.

Seeing as the list currently used is the same one as the one >Max< made for the original Knowledge pages i'm sure someone would have noticed it if it was identical?

It isn't identical to the one Max made though, loads from the 2005 period are missing, it is an entirely different list and HabboAges' old list to be precise.

I know this simply because 'jamie33' is on the current Habbox hobba list, he wasn't on any other list, only HabboAges'.

Anyway, even if it wasn't a copy and paste job, the missing 2001 and 2002 hobbas were definitely borrowed from that site, it was the only site on the net that had that list, and the screenshots to go with it.

No, we put in a lot of legwork to get our list of Hobbas, we had a staff member specifically devoted to the listing and photographing of Hobbas (one :-:Mystical.Dave:-: or something similar). Last night the Hobba list was still alphabetized so I dunno. It is possible that our new page creator used it, we'll check into that.

Personal opinions

How exactly have they gone above and beyond. Both sites have the same key information, if I were to copy the information from the old Habbo Knowledge onto the new page, then that would provide the rankings and what they do. Also how can a list of something in the past be up-to-date...

Well, you testify wrongly. Considering I typed the list out myself from what I was sent, and haven't added anything to that section of the page since it was created, the list can't be the same. There are more, or less, names around certain letters in both the Habbox, Habbo and HabboAges lists. The list on Habbox has always been as it is since the new version of Habbox Knowledge was released.

HabboAges has more information, the photos and missions count for something . Up-to-date in the sense that each Hobba is listed.

Jamie33 was the last Hobba to be badged and it was publicised and he wouldn't tell us why. It was when he was in year10 (underage) and he lived in London, so I thought it was work Experience, but could be anything.

No, it was very in depth.

But it's not the same list I don't believe.

The creator has said that he didn't copy and I see no compelling evidence that he did.
