Leeds have NEVER had money problems - KB said they did to avoid paying fines and in doing so went into administration when they knew they were down last year and because of him lying they deducted 15 points this season.

Ken Bates is the reason why you are where you are. He cheated the FA, he cheated the Football League so how you can say they deserved to go up is stupid. Whoever says that is stupid. Elland Road is a dump, an absolutely dump of a ground. It's made of useless corrugated steel and cardboard. It's not a ground, it's 4 stands around a pitch - that's not a ground. If you go to Elland Road, odds are you'll come out covered in blood.

The media love Leeds, however. This is why Elland Road is complimented. Look North, a local news programme in Yorkshire, did a piece on Rovers winning promotion although it had no interviews, no reaction, no crowd etc it only showed the goal. However, if Leeds won it then they probably would've filled the programme with it because no matter what happens, Leeds will be the biggest club in Yorkshire. Yes, it's part jealously but the fact is it shouldn't be like that. Everyone in the media is biased towards Leeds.

So, Leah - please learn about football and your 'supported' club before you go posting things like that. Please, I hate Leeds and I know more about them than you.
Yeah, I watched the highlights on Sky Sports News. And they spent more time mulling over next season for Leeds then Doncaster's celebration.

    And...
Norwich are leading the race to sign Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford but Ipswich, QPR and Reading are also interested. (Daily Star)

Not sure how I feel about that really. Depends how much, I thought we were broke anyway.

I can see a Huckerby swap myself. I'm surprised at QPR because they can attract much more skilled players than Beckford - I mean, they're promotion material next season so it'd be a bad move for them.

    Don't trust the Star anyway

I think Leeds get alot of attention because they make the better story. Only a matter of years ago they were in the Champions League now they're down to League 1 and are staying put. I suppose them being so succesful made them the biggest and most popular club in yorkshire. But being popular and being succesful are completely different. Just ask Doncaster Rovers.

Well to be fair Rovers make a good story too with all the promotions but the news agencies will want to appeal to the masses and unfotunately the masses like Leeds.

So you're saying that a downslide is better than an uphilll triumph?

3 promotions in 5 seasons is better than 2 relegations in 5 season but Leeds still get media attention.

EDIT: Gemz, shut up. They shouldn't of got them back - you know nothing about football.

Not it's better but it makes the better story. Notice you never hear about good stuff on the news, it's always that someone gets knifed. And like I said, more people care about Leeds than Rovers.

The reason everyone hates leeds scum is because:

    A) Their fans think they can piss on the FA
    B) Their fans are ******s: See this wikipedia extract from afc bournemouth:

    [edit] Crowd Trouble
Whilst the fans are usually good mannered and crowd trouble is extremely rare nowadays, Monday 5 May 1990 has gone down in the history of both club and town as a black day. It was the May Day public holiday and the final day of the season. AFC Bournemouth were in the old Second Division and Leeds United had the chance to win the league on goal difference and gain promotion into the First Division (now the Premiership). Many followers of Leeds had already caused trouble in the town during the morning and the atmosphere was tense as Leeds won the match by a single goal. That, combined with the results of other matches, meant that Leeds were promoted while Bournemouth were relegated. The violence and destruction by visitors to Bournemouth continued over the holiday weekend 'causing more than £1million worth of damage and injury to opposing fans and police officers'.[1] The town's Daily Echo newspaper reported that 'spectators, including many young children, had to run to safety as missiles were hurled and riot police waded in to control the crowds'.[2]The matter was raised in Parliament by one of the town's MPs. Many Bournemouth supporters attribute the beginning of the subsequent decline of the club on that fateful day. The club have been on the brink of bankruptcy several times since 1990.

Financially, the Leeds trouble affected the club for more than a decade, as Bournemouth were prevented by local police from staging home games on Bank Holidays (traditionally a popular day for football) until a game against Shrewsbury Town on 21 April 2003. The club often had to move games from Easter Monday, for instance, to the following Tuesday evening, with lower crowds a consequence.[3]

    C) Their fans whine and moan when the rest of the country just gets on with it.
    D) Leah or whatever your name is, please inform me on how many matches u have attended ever, and if u know what the offside rule is.. Do that and u may even be able to post in the football posts on this forum
