Post Photography - You and your Camera

    Hey!

As a keen, advanced photographer, I thought I'd make a thread to see the sorts of experiences, skills and cameras the other members of this forum have. I am happy this afternoon, as I am nearly completing the final application stages to become an iStock Photographer - iStock is the world largest online collection of stock photography.

I started off with a Digital Camera, the Fuijfilm S5700 Finepix, which was great for a amateur wanting those more advanced photos, rather that 'snaps'. I had this for a while, around 9 months, however I have recently invested in a more professional package. I have puchased within the last month:

    - Canon 400D D-SLR
    - Canon EF 18-55m Lens
    - Tamron 70-300mm Telephoto/Macro Lens
    - Jessops Digital Flashgun - AF Canon
    - 4GB Compact Flash Card

Due to this expansion, and me becoming an iStock photographer (very nearly), I have had some model release forms printed, as well as some information sheets. If there is anyone on here who wishes to use them as a template, please feel free to contact me. I am also joining a photography club, where I have one of the better cameras, which will let me help expand the skills of others.

What sort of equipment do you guys use, and what type of photography are you into?

    Hehe, Crap photographer here!

Nokia N95 5mp Camera - It gets surprisingly good qaulity pictures etc... if you manually set the Scene Mode, Flash, Colour tone, White balance, Exposure compensation, Sharpness, Contrast and ISO.

Mum has got some really nice 12mp Camera that we use that I should probably read the manual for, its a great starting camera for Professional photography... if you can be bothered to read the manual.

I have a Pentax K20D D-SLR with an 8gb card. I have a flash gun although i'm mainly into landscape photography so never really use it. I use a Weifing 3 Section tripod when using slow shutterspeeds.

Im hoping to really explore this summer and get some good photos when the weather is fine.

Yeah, but the N95 compresses the photos a lot, losing detail and can make some of the colours look a bit unnaturally bright and vibrant with it's colour algorithms. Very good camera for a phone though.

Can I just ask something... Why do you keep posting about your "new" camera? I've read about it like 5-10 times in threads.

    Now ontopic:

    I have the following:

    Kodak EasyShare C533 - 5 MP
Nokia N95 Carl Zeiss Optics Tessar 2.8/5.6 Autofocus 5 Megapixel
LG Shine Schneider Kreuznach Lens - 2 MP

I think that's all my Cameras. I'm not into photography though.

www.flickr.com/photos/hendersonw -- all my photography. I don't have the best camera in the world, but it serves me well enough. I believe it is called a Samsung Digimax 500 or something.

    Flickr will tell you.
