    I think this would be a good idea, but perhaps it could be compromised. Keeping the news on Habbox.com is a must! People like going to Habbox.com and getting rare values on the top, and news on the bottom, also very active news reporters deserve to have their names on the home page (such as Mrs.McCall, who is fantastic with posting news). I do believe that perhaps once the user clicks "read more" it redirects them to a thread on Habbox Forum coresponding to the article, where they can read the rest of the story, and comment neatly below. I believe this way many forum users would give much more feadback on the news. Yes, users would be able to read the news on the forum, but they already can anyways (Also if a user posts a news article in the current news forum, the thread could just be moved into the fullstory news section, and the initial HxF user would get full credit, for discovering a good story). The majority of Habbo users use Habbox for rare values too, setting the news up like this would hardly affect hits to Habbox.com. The suggestion is good.

    I have to admit that I normally look at the News Forums before actually visiting the related hotels. It then gives me the chance to do numerous things such as:
    • Obviously read over the article;
    • Get an insight on what the community feel on this, giving me/us the chance to write articles based around the general opinion on the news;
    • The international section helps us find news, we might not of actually seen ourselves.
    I do like your idea, however I feel that other members should have the opportunity to post articles and discuss them along with each other.

    Yeah they can also do that but the news section would just be an addition where you will find well written work not just "o god wot they dun dis tym?" followed by a quote of the article. It's just like having the news on Habbox.com and the UK news and rumours section, but this time they can read the news on Habbox.com on the forum site.

    Thanks for all of your feedback

    If I'm correct, the comments system is currently disabled because of people posting pointlessly on it, so using the forum as a comments system would kill two birds with one rather sharp stone. I really like that idea, have some rep. The only problem I can see is having to have the article posted once on joomla, and again on the forum, which will be extremely time cosuming. I'd also question the technical possibility of linking the "read more" button to a forum account, I'm no techie though. With fine tuning, that could work quite well and bring a lot more traffic to the forum as well as keeping the news on habbox.

    I dont really see the point, they post detailed news on the front page of www.habbox.com if you post on the forum then the news on the main site would be pointless? It wont take much more effort to open a new tab and type in www.habbox.com to get to the news than if it were to be in a forum and you hunting for it.

    Not many people visit the Habbox site as much as the forum, so for their benefit it would be a good idea

    Then shouldn't we be trying them to go to the homepage instead of bring all the attention to the forum? .

    I guess so, so maybe link to the homepage...

    Make a forum called "Habbox News" and link to https://habbox.com/site//content/blogsection/1/95/

    And all forum users have to do is key in www.habbox.com to their browsers and either check the home, or news pages.

    To copy and paste every bit of news between site and forum is a complete waste of bandwidth and server space tbh.

    I dont like the idea for all the reasons stated above - maybe we could just have a link to Habbox News?

    But then users cant have their say on what they think is right or not.

    I disagree as thats just a waste of time - You should keep it on the same page. It is also alot easier for us news reporters to do what I just said. That would also mean that Yum would have to go through loads of trouble - get rid of the "main story" section and make the "read more" section link to a certain part in the forum - it is also hard as Yum wont know where to link the "read more" section
