    Hello,

It's nothing big but you know the Post your Desktop thread right? Why do OSX users post in it when they have their own in the Apple section?

Someone created one in the Windows section and it immediately got locked.

I was wondering this, the Mac one has been stickied too which is even more mysterious.

You do have a point - two stickied threads for 'Post Your Desktop' do seem to be in operation. One general and one Mac.

I will see if I can get this clarified and get back to soon as soon as I can. Thanks

To answer the query (additional information.)

The Mac deskstop sticky is to be merged with the desktop sticky in the
main forum and thats where all desktops should be posted.

Thanks very much for pointing this out and it will be sorted soon

Because sometimes people only want to see OS X, ask the mods to leave the Windows one, and we'll have two different ones. OS X desktops are more attractive [usually] than Windows. I don't want to have to look at XP & Vista mess when looking at the desktop threads,

I think there should be three threads.
    Post your Windows desktop
    Post your OS X desktop
Post all other operating systems desktops
    That went fast.

Either have 2 (or 3) or just the 1, OS/X users don't deserve their own if Windows aren't allowed one, and vice versa.

Why try and start a Mac v Windows argument in the completely wrong section?

Personally I only want to see Windows in its own thread, or them both in one thread, Mac OSX is "displeasing".

And actually I find the Windows UI to be more user friendly and intuitive compared to Mac.

That's awesome! :] Each to their own I guess

I think there should be individual threads.

I like them all together, you can compare and see peoples' preferences all in one thread.

It's nice seeing a variety of desktop environments all being discussed in one thread.
Ex-janitor. Might pop in from time to time, otherwise you can grab all my information from http://jamesy.me.uk/

I don't think I have ever quoted myself before but as I said above they are now all in one thread in the main forum. Thanks
