Basically everything of Wow which isn't original lore came from D&D. And most games have the same interface. However in this case, I think the poster is referring to the spec of the new detail. They're about the same specs you need to run Wow, but the graphics are still quite a bit worse.

and of course different company's use ideas from others but it does get annoying when people claim WoW is this super company who have a patent for interface layout or something.

There doing this update because they have lost to many players because of RWT changes. PK, Duel etc.

Because they don't want to lose any other members, wich love the old graphics they make them both available

They started the updates ages ago doing a few monsters at a time, I presume they have been working on this for months long before the pking changes.

TRUE! The new interface is amazing, the graphics are stunning for what it used to be. It really has, apart from the texturing on some objects. ( They forgot to check if the textures lined up, check the ropes, wood effect etc. ) But who actually CARES if its like 'wow'. Wow you have to pay $15 or something a month and you buy it from a shop, runescape is an INTERNET BROWER game. Besides, how many mmo's have layouts like 'wow' anyway..? Every single one...

Just accept it can use concepts from other games, its still RuneScape. If you don't like it, don't play the higher detailed version. Whats the problem?
