That shouldn't happen any more because of the post approval system thing, but there seems to be a bug with it where some peoples' posts are being automatically approved Never trust technology

How does the approval system work?

Basically, when a (S)Mod comes across the post of a newbie (under fifteen posts) we can choose to either approve or disapprove it (depending on whether said post breaks the rules). It means that we can stop bots from spamming the forum and stop auto banned members from coming back to cause havoc.

Unfortunately, there is something wrong with the approval system and some people are managing to get their posts auto approved although it's currently being investigated, so this should be fixed soon. SMods can also see a queue of posts which are waiting to be approved/disapproved in the modcp.
