    Default Wheel fund down the drain.. I hit a brick! ;_;

    My wheel fund's out the window, my car's in the garage and I'm genuinely pissed off. On the way home from work today, as I came round the corner there was half a *TEXT REMOVED*' brick in the middle of the road, I tried to slow down but there was a **** up my **** in a 4x4, and there was a car in the right hand lane, I hit it and there was a horrible crunching sound, then my oil lamp came on..
    I stopped at a garage a bit down the road and I had a look underneath, oil was flooding out of the car onto the ground. I hope it's the sump and nothing really major, which pillock leaves a *TEXT REMOVED* brick in the middle of the road?

    Lol it kinda looks like Shrek

    That's a bit crap... If you didn't have that 4x4 behind you, you would of been able to slow down and pass it or stop and pick it up. Although would you rather have that sort of damage or a 4x4 driving over you?

    You can do some serious damage to your engine by running it low/out of oil. My Accord was down a gallon of oil once, and just by chance I took it to Honda to get something else checked and they checked the oil. The engine had been burning off the oil because a PCV or PVC valve was stuck open, it wasn't a big repair, but if not fixed it could have been major!

    I hope you didn't drive the car with no oil in it, because that would SUCK if the engine is damaged. That could easily happen to me because my car is low to the ground and I hit pot holes with great speed ahahaha, I'm going to be careful now! Hopefully it's not too expensive to to have fixed!

    I didn't drive it with no oil in it.. as soon as the oil lamp came on I stopped at the filling a few yards down the road. It was then pushed to the garage.

    I got a call today, £205 for the sump & oil pump & £175 for a damaged cat

    i'm the star in the reasonably priced car!
