What is women's clothing? Technically they all the same, except ones are tailored to suit different genders. Does this mean women should not wear shirts, trousers and boxers, for these are usual men's clothing? I would like to know what was going on in whoever wrote Deuteronomy's mind.
you have to remember that back when the bible was written, their was a clear difference of what mens and womens clothing was. And you generally can tell nowadays anyway

Once again, when the bible was written, women had very little rights. It probably stems from the fact that women are 'unclean and ______ (forgot word)' so they would 'ruin' (if thats the right word) the child.

What you have said along with Joshuee is completely true and agree with you apart from on one thing. In catholicism, the bible states exactly what you have said and so dependign on what part of the catholic family you are you can either take it literally which would mean that you are not allowed a woman bishop or you can, well i wouldnt exactly say ignore but oh well, ignore some parts of the bible. Because time has moved on since it was written, some parts of the church change the rules of the bible to fit with society.

I dont really mind if their is a man or a woman bishop. However, as said, it does depend on what part of the church you are.

To answer an earlier question, some parts are allowed women priests, im not sure bishops are allowed yet.

What I don't understand is, you're told to follow the bible yet you can't because it's outdated and it's impossible to do aswell! Because it tells you one thing to do and then says you can't do it in another part of scripture later on. If churches change the rules by having people follow one part of the bible rather than another, that seems to discredit the bible, rather than makes it sacred and truth...

Still rather stange, the original bible seems to be discredited as rubbish now. It does make you think what the future holds for it, most teachings are done through what revolves round the world and basic teachings from the bible, rather than full on biblical study

Maybe your CD Drive is cursed

lol it probably is. Restarted and its fine now

Most of the old testament is discredited. A lot of Jesus' teachings are not and the new testament plays a large role in what catholics do today. Some would have been changed to fit the needs of society such as abortions. I believe that it is allowed to have an abortion should the women in question had been raped. And yeh lol, church has changed along with society to be more acceptable. I mean teachings of how women are all witches or whatever wouldnt exactly look appealing to us now. The way its taught has changed like what you said. Studying the bible is rarely done now. Its more active and has meaning to every day life

Yeh, But I'd say they'll let Bishops marry before they let girls do it.
