    Default (+11 rep) HELP ASAP

    Hey.

I am going to Alcudia on Saturday morning and am currently stressing out with all the packing lol. Me and my girlfriend are flying from Glasgow Airport but we are in a bit of deliberation about taking toiletries onboard the flight.

We have a limit of 15kilo for luggage, and a further 5kilo for hand luggage.

Obviously after all the stuff last year, there was for a time, a restriction on liquids taken on board. However, when we booked up I was told that the rules had now been relaxed and it was okay again.

Basically the thing is, my luggage is at 17kilo atm with all my toiletries inside. However, if I was to put my toiletries into my handluggage it would only be 14 - so I would be all within weight.

It says on the airport website something about they need to be less than 100ml and displayed in clear bags - but some people are telling me this is outdated and no longer the case. Also my dad went on holiday the other week and he didn't take a suitcase at all, just a small case as his handluggage which he had toiletries in and nothing was said to him.

Lol so basically - whats the deal with taking toiletries as hand luggage at the moment in the majority of airports? I understand often some airports have diff rules, but I'm looking for a general opinion...
I also am aware that you can't take aerosols and stuff...

    For all help +11 rep!

Its not really to do with the airports anymore, I suggest searching the website for your airline first

As far as I remember if you want it in your hand luggage it has to be 100ml or under (the container not the amount of liquid) so you can split it between a load of containers if you want, but it has to be in a clear plastic bag (they give you at the airport).

Thats all I know of my head hope it has helped

You need to put them in plastic bags inside the hand luggage bag. An if they want to scan them seperate they will. Different at different places. But you are still not allowed drinks through security.

Well you know the saying, better to be safe than sorry. Why not just take some clothes out of it and into your luggage. Wear the heavier things when you board aswell.

I still think that the rule applies because were still sort of in a high alert on terror.

    Hmmmm.

I don't care about the whole iun plastic bags bit lol, it's just with them being under 100ml as mine are all well over.

Also, I wouldn't have a bag big enough to hold enough clothes to even it out if you get me as it'll take quite a big to make up 3kilo of clothes lol.

Yea I think it is 100ml so if you find a load of 100ml containers and just distribute it between them you should be fine

Just go by the airports regulations that you are departing from. Not the airline.

    Ah so frustrating and stressful!
