I remember seeing two Traumahawks from the flying club at Glasgow doing formation flying above where I live. Was amazing to watch, they were really close to each other.

I asked who were doing the formation when I went down to fly last month and it was my instructor and his wife! They're an old couple but highly, highly skilled pilots. John (my instructor) knows the Traumahawk like the back of his hand. He's been flying it since Piper released it in 1987!

I've been looking for a while for this really, really good tutorial somewhere. I'll find it eventually. For now, you may want to take a look at the one virtual southwest have written.

Formation flying is great, providing both crews are briefed properly before departure and know what they're doing!! - For example, someone who has just got their PPL shouldn't start doing formation until they've some more experience.

Glad to see you called it the Traumahawk too!

Through the magic of simulation, you get to start again!! - Although, it's not really the aim of the game to crash
