Michael Bay. Right. I fully understand now. I won't waste another second...
Smidd. says:
he likes the jeremy kyle show? :S
bethany is hated by msn, bad times. says:
and he claims he appreciates media?
'nuff said about you too, mate. But, say again say Hello to narrow mindedness! Hello!
Saw is the only film I've watched and not liked, mainly cos I only watch films I like the sound of. I found it overrated and pretty dull, the whole copious amounts of blood and gory deaths neither appeals to nor scares me.
No. I do not like The Jeremy Kyle Show. That is a ruse between my cousin and I. And I appreciate film. I don't watch a lot of TV. Thanks for talking about me on MSN and seemingly investigating my Facebook.

Misawa, no one cares if you think Jaws is a master piece, that is why we as individuals have a thing called opnion. Most people judge films on entertainment value, I don't know anyone who would walk into a movie theater to go analyse a film's camera angles and all that crap... they go purely for entertainment value. And Jaws just doesn't do it for them.
Why do you think they make films like 'Meet the Spartans'? Because it entertains at least some people, yet it's far from a master piece.

Oh dear. You seem to not be aware that there's a difference between something being well planned or well made and something actually being good. I could carefully plan a painting in which every brushstroke is deliberately coloured and placed to hold a certain meaning or emotion, and I could carry it out to perfection, but it might still be a crap painting. Conception and creation are not the only things that matter: response is also important. I'm not going to try arguing that the majority of people don't like Jaws because that would simply be a lie, but not taking up the majority view doesn't make my own opinion - and yes, it is opinion that matters, for the very reason I just explained - void.Ignorance. You do realise films aren't "Oh I've thought of this scene, film it, get it over with". Every shot, unless your Michael Bay, is carefully crafted to have meaning. Every frame in a film is telling a story that the dialogue cannot.
Stating the craft of a film is not opinion, it is fact. You do not understand if you disagree because you are too ignorant to do so. It is fact because everything is deliberate, everything is made so well, physically, aesthetically. Those who resort to "opinion" in a case of craft do not know the mechanics of film.
Perhaps you would like to carefully raise a point for every flaw that JAWS has if you want an explanatory answer, which I will give. And FlyingJesus, you live about 10 minutes away, perhaps I should handcuff you to a chair, sit you in front of a screen and teach you.
You may notice I haven't once felt the need to insult you or your taste in itself as you have done to me. I've continued this as you have not only attempted to belittle me but are also mistaken in thinking that it is only the "mechanics" as you put it of a film that determines how good it is, even stating a disbelief that opinion has nothing to do with it whilst still trying to use the point of majority-vs-me against me.
I'm aware of where I live but no offence Westwood, but being handcuffed to a chair by you isn't high on my list of priorities, nor is being taught by someone who denies my right to an opinion on a film and still calls me ignorant.
I am a bit of a movie buff myself but that does not mean my opinion on a film makes it true and neither does anyone else's opinion. Personally I was okay with Jaws, it kept me entertained on a few boring boxing days but it's certainly not the masterpiece you make it out to be.
I resent that. Have you seen all of Michael Bay's work? All 30 of his films? I think not and neither have I, but the Rock was entertaining and stands as one of my favourite films.
