    I go to weston every other weekend with my dad becuase he lives there and we usually go out with step mum for a drink and the pier is just so nice, even if you didnt go on any rides, just to walk along it is really nice its a real shame.

    I wouldn't be surprised if it was done for the insurance claim. I know that it wasn't taking in as much money as it should've been doing.

    True, Because we havn't had that nice weather recently. But they have just had a rennovation and the owner is in spain. Oh well lol.

    Well it had just been purchased for a few million, recently redone and had the new go kart track installed into it.

    if it was an insurance claim why did they do it up before hand?
    I heard it was a fire in the kitchens.

    Goodness knows if these things are Insurance Claims it's difficult to tell in this case but it looks a really good place from what you've all been saying and looking at it's website.

    But building a pier out of wood was always inviting it.

    Well that would be exactly the reason, they spend millions on the pier, than they realise the money coming in is little and no one likes it anymore.

    I think on Wikipedia it says deep-fat fryers may have caused it. Someone must have been in there though.
