This HobNob character obviously has no idea - MODs are prohibited from trading furni, this is a well known fact.
He has obviously traded with a competition winner but said he had traded with a MOD for brownie points from all the habbo'ers who will be like 'OMG0000DZZZ'.

Yeah Boxiel is right, he just thinks he's cool 'buying furni from MODs'. If a MOD was even caught trading from his Moderator account, he'd be in it knee deep.

If mods arent allowed to trade at all, Why dont they disable trading to make it impossible to happen in the first place? And whats a Mod gonna do with furni? They wouldnt be able to get their hands on it for starters would they?

i tracked the idiot down then had a 'heated' discussion about the rare in question,
he told me i was a noob because he was a MOD n he knew that the rare was never coming out.
i told him wot witness and pyroka sed n he kiked me, b4 he could ban me from the room i finally got a screenie

and haa if u reported him, he probs would have got banned for that, depends on the mod on duty.

They could get their hands on it, they can request furniture I think depending on the nature of the request. MODs have the trade option because Sulake trusts their Moderators & think that they won't use it. They can easily drop furniture into peoples rooms though, if they really needed to trade... which they wouldnt.
