I gotta disagree. Renji managed to surprise Byakuya, but Byakuya totally owned Renji.

If theres one thing I hate about Bleach, it's that crappy song thats starts with some woman going 'wooahh ooh ooh ooh, yeah yeah yeah, if you wanna see some action...' etc. It ruins the whole moment. Theres a part where Ichigo is up against two really strong guys and it's all serious, Ichigo isn't himself, he's kinda dark and angry but then that song starts playing and it just ruins everything! Like 1000, it seemed to go on forever. There is one totally amazing part in it though.
46 episodes in the Bounto filler erc, episode 64 - 110.

And I'll have to disagree about the Bounto arc being 'crappy'. It wasn't that bad, it was okay at least.

I already stated it wasn't that bad, but it's definitely a crap arc compared to all the other ones. The fact that I absolutely hated that Yoshi woman and that Ishida was being a little ***** didn't help, lol. Plus they had the worse villains ever. Two gay kids who control water, a stupid woman with a talking fan and sword, an old man that rides around on a whale, an annoying **** with a little hamster that controls people, I mean COME ON! My *** could think of better villains than that. There were a few good bits in the Bounto arc, such as Soifon in action, although she was paired with the worst villain of them all, and Hollow Ichigo vs Mr. T and Dalk, that was awesome. Mayuri vs that old whale moron was also pretty damn good. But compared to everything else that happens in Bleach, the Bounto arc is very minor and insignificant.
Try comparing Ichigo vs Kariya with such fights as Ichigo vs Grimmjow, Byakuya vs Renji and the many fights with the former espada. Anyone can see that the Bounto arc doesn't win points for anything. Although I gotta say, the way Kariya died was annoying (he was in the middle of a sentence dammit, I hate it when they do that), but it had something about it that made it cool, and I liked the fact that he was kinda like what Ichigo could become. It's a shame the fight was Ichigo vs Byakuya all over again with the Ichigo vs Zaraki outcome. The arc was interesting but was just executed the wrong way. Change the villains for good ones (excluding Mr. T and Kariya), definitely change the Bounto's dolls, add better fights to start the arc off (watching the first half of the Bounto arc was like having my eyes scorched out by a hot rod, it was torture) and have totally new and original fights instead of recycling old ones. The Bounto arc could have been so much better. Why are the anime staff so crap at coming up with ideas.
