    Default USA appealing against womans 100m final

    the USA have appealed against the 100m womens final saying that one of their athletes false started and because of this was off step.

    The medal ceremony has been put on hold.

    They false started which gave them an unfair advantage and still lost but complain. They're being stupid.

    Surely if she false started, she'd be disqualified and the results would remain the same

    One false start = everybody on a yellow card
    Two false starts = disqualification for the person who fale started

    If it was the first false start, they would restart the race.

    Usually after a false start they redo it first. And then the DQing starts for false starting after that.

    No but I believe it is in the Swimming but I don't recall of any happening this Olympics. People tend to do it deliberately to put people off but I fail to see an advantage in that.
