    Default iTunes 8

I need a question answering, and I need it answering fast.

Every single update iTunes have released, they've changed the (registry) values of my DVD drive which makes so the DVD drive is not detected by Windows, and is well... Broken, unless I reset the registry and get back my DVD but that comes with a hell of a lot of fiddling. I would like to know whether Apple have FINALLY fixed this problem or not.

It's a PC related question for Windows Vista users, so if you have an answer to this issue which has kept me down on iTunes 7.0 for the last... 6 months now, I would really like to know.

    Thank you!!!

Tis a rubbish update. Once you have minimised it - it won't maximise again.

I have suffered this problem of not being able to use my drives either, both are ASUS. One is a cd only drive, does not write. The other is a DVD-RW. I wasn't even aware you could fix it via the registry? More info please. I usually just uninstall itunes if i need to use a disc which gets very annoying.
This is our situation and we're happy to be here,
I wouldn't change this place for anything.
