This may be just be the most idiotic thing i've heard today :|. The router obviously came with a power supply which was made sure it powered the router properly... No, it is quite likely a problem with the router.
Sometimes a router has had it's day and needs replacing. Maybe this is the case here. Also, in general, Belkin routers aren't very good, but there is always circumstances where they are great for people.
I think I may just get a new router, any recommendations? It's lasted longer than I expected tbh.
