They should just make a thread and people can post what they think should be unfiltered and why and then if it's a good reason, they should do it. Because some words that are filtered don't even deserve to be filtered.
I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just telling you what happens. There are some things that don't need discussing further, and these words don't need further discussion... I think the members have done enough discussions about these words. Not unfiltering them needs proper justification, and as far as I and many others see, there is definitely no need to keep them filtered. They're harmless words, especially the 5 letter word for female dog, that's not offensive or rude at all, people who use that word are usually laughed at in this society.
You will find only sierk and nvrspk4 have the permissions to modify the filter, no other admin has the permissions to get in there as it contains some sensitive options for the forum.
Not much discussion goes into it when its something like this i'd imagine, it's just getting one of them to do it.
I'm not sure why you're trying to turn this into a deabte, there is no debate because there is only one point of view that no-one is opposing. Things like this have to go through nvr because, as josh said, he is the only one with access to the filter to change it. On the list of priorities I don't think this is the highest one but he will get round to it.There are some things that don't need discussing further, and these words don't need further discussion... On normal forums though, things like this are changed nearly instantly, it's a no brainer. Not sure why everything has to go through the GM, when forums usually have more than 2 people with access to the Admin CP. Usually you put restrictions on the Admin CP so that you can have a whole team able to do these things. Security isn't much of an issue, unless you're crazy enough to hire people and not trust them. Usually such power shows you trust them and therefore they won't turn malicious...

I'll fix that when I get a minute, we're considering the unfiltering of several words so it will probably happen over the weekend, we're going to try to be making changes every weekend, that way we can sit down, review the stuff from the week and make sure changes get done - and members also know when to expect the changes.
Josh dear have you checked FM forum lately? :eusa_whisYou will find only sierk and nvrspk4 have the permissions to modify the filter, no other admin has the permissions to get in there as it contains some sensitive options for the forum.

The issue is that to give them access to Edit Filter we have to give them access to the highly sensitive VB Options. The problem is not trust in them - its damage minimization pretty much. If someone gets hacked by whatever freak circumstance only certain people can cause mass damage that require backups. Because people will get hacked. For example, since Immenseman had admin, not superadmin, Mr.OSH was able to disable his account, and only manager accounts could be edited, and then only articles could be edited. The levels of permissions prevented catastrophe, the situation was fixed in under half an hour, and really no damage was caused, besides a little bit of graffiti.Tis in my rumpass![]()

Why would you need to say orgasm ic anyway, the filter is there for a reason and I think if that word was unfiltered it could bring a discussion of sexual conversations and that's pretty much against the rules.
Lol I say the whole filter should be scrapped, it wouldn't do any harm and it would treat us as mature teenagers/adults. After all, Habbox.com has the official status and not HabboxForum so I don't see any harm.![]()
