Laugh, out, loud. Why would you need a rack? You're not going to be storing something that is high in space, for that.

TehUpload is on a VPS, with 6,420 uploads.. and it's only using 9.01GB and around 139GB of bandwidth.

If it gets more popular, yeah.. clustered servers are going to be a needed thing.

Things like Source-Movies, Motionfrag, Youmeo, need a customized architecture of servers, but not your little project.. :|

    ----

Where would you get that idea?

never really that low except for DOS1 PC's. Usually 64MB ram in the early 90's were popular with 12KBPS/32KBPS modems, not really 256MB hard drives, my 3.0 computer had a 14MB.

I still have my Windows 3.0 as well as my 3.1.

It was actually this model for the Windows3.0

    Radioshack Tandy.

My 3.1 was also a Tandy.

    It's in storage.

It already is to be honest.. I mess around with it once in a while when I go to the storage building, takes 3.5" floppy disks. Mouse has three buttons (not like it is now), curly keyboard wire.

I saw one of those at my friends house, or so I think.. his dad basically had all these old computers, to take peoples old data formats, like 3.5" floppy disks, and convert it to new mediums.

Anyway, enough of the thread hijack: I think it's an interesting idea, but time consuming, and well.. Idk, your choice.
