I'm sure the mature members will then realise that they will get over seeing a word in stars, and will understand why its filtered for the benefit younger visitors and people who use it innapropriatley. That's my reckoning anyway

I don't think you quite understand how small a population you're talking about. If I were to stick my neck out I'd maybe classify 40% of users on here as "mature", if we take a majority to be the smallest possible (21%) that would mean about 4 immature posts to one mature post if everyone used the word once. As much as I'd love to live in an ideal world where everyone used words properly, it just doesn't exist, especially on here

Of course there are lies, damned lies and statistics but on here that's how things would probably pan out.

Dick can be a short handed word for Richard and for some reason the word is filtered still when it was meant to be removed back when the council was about. It can also mean willy or penis so for some reason there another reason for it to be filtered. It can't be rude, unless you're 80/90 years old and find every little thing insulting

I'm not quite sure why some of the words are filtered. The 5 letter P word got filtered, but when you think about it, there are loads of other words and they can avoid the filter to use that word. There's no more and no less work for a moderator to filter words. The BIG words should really be the only ones filtered...

There is a rule against discussing adult subjects. Therefore, discussion of the aforementioned word is not at all appropriate. There is really no legitimate use of the word where it becomes awkward or even an inconvenience to use alternate words. Even if there are, they are few and far between.

It seems to me you are almost complaining for the sake of complaining - choose your battles.

Ok I respect you until you make comments like that. I am not complaining for the sake of it and I apologise if it seems that way.

I apologize if I got it wrong, it was just that it seemed to me the basis of your statement was "I don't see a reason to unfilter it, I just don't see a reason to filter it". Basically, "I don't think it matters but I just think its wrong". But, I can be wrong too
