I disagree with what the news team is defending here. Sure, you want to put the news which your reporters publish onto the forum website so that some people will read it on the site. Thats all fine and fair, but when that RSS feed becomes a spambot of that forum, it takes away the fact that I, and probably many other News Reporters, got a job in the News Team because they posted so much news & so quickly in the forum.
How can you employ people from the forum if your bots doing it for you? That's just one reason of why you should remove it, the other reason is that people will be driven away from the Habbo UK News & Rumours Forum because the fun of posting first for news has gone now, you've destroyed that little game which has made that forum popular for quite some time now. It's like neutralising a culture of people who like to be the first to post.
If you wanna show off your news, put it in a subforum or create a link to the Habbox News Page so that people don't have to look at a forum full of botspam.

It's quite unfair really for new members and old members who like posting news, and it'll be harder to be recognised when on trials.

OK first of all I see where you're coming from but the reports being posted by the bot are ones that the reporters have done themselves. They deserve a bit of recognition.I disagree with what the news team is defending here. I employ people on the forum based on their posting abilities in their application. It is extremely rare that someone from the Habbo News forum gets a News trial and infact I don't think this has happened since Adzeh's reign. The fun of posting first news hasn't gone because, admittedly, the reporters don't usually post news first!
Finally, the bot isn't posting spam. The reports are relevent and different to the usual multitude of threads posted in that forum. I seriously don't see the issue here. Would you all be annoyed if the reporters copy and pasted their reports and posted on the forum? It is exactly the same thing as one of the reporters simply opening a thread in the forum except it is done by the Habbox bot via RSS rather than an acutal reporter.
I also see what you're saying, the news reporters DO deserve some recognition but come on, this is recognition at the expense of a public nuisance in that forum. There was a reason that all the News Managers before you didn't add a RSS Feed, and you're witnessing the results first-hand!OK first of all I see where you're coming from but the reports being posted by the bot are ones that the reporters have done themselves. (Must be off, batteries got 1 minute left LOL)
You can get trials when applications are open? The vast majority of the time news posted by users are copied and pasted from Habbo and there is sometimes multiple articles with different information on the same subject. A news report from our reporters is well written and entertaining, much more so than a c+p from Habbo, and includes all the information in one thread. It doesn't spam the forum, theres been 4-5 reports today which doesnt flood the forum or anything. It also only displays the short story with a link to the full story to encourage suers to visit the site to read the full report. Think of the post as an introduction or teaser usually.
I think there is confusion regarding the bot. The bot doesn't post news automatically, it posts news reports that have been individually written by our reporters and posted on the Habbox Site.e
The other day I was in a toilet.
A voice came from the cubicle next to me: "Hello mate, how are you doing?"
I didn't want to be rude, so I said, "Not too bad, thanks."
I heard the voice again. "So, what are you up to?"
Again I answered, "Just having a quick ****... How about yourself?"
Then I heard him say "Sorry, mate, I'll have to call you back. I've got some **** in the cubicle next to me answering everything I say."
Why can't members just post their news which worked well before with no problems? This is just taking the biscuit really, people were happy with non-reporter news and it opened up interesting discussions. This is just forced discussions and doesn't really give the reporter any recognition, considering the news reporters name isn't on the report  So your argument is flawed, the reporters don't get ANY recognition by the looks of things :/OK first of all I see where you're coming from but the reports being posted by the bot are ones that the reporters have done themselves. I would like to see the reporters name on the report and will ask nvr.Why can't members just post their news which worked well before with no problems? It doesn't stop discussions or debates regarding news at all. What do you mean by that? It is still news posted therefore the replies would be the same if not better e.g. The one report posted has opened up a great discussion.

The idea of the RSS feed was so people could see the news and then they'd click 'read more' thus reporters getting recognition. And yes, it doens't give their name but it is nice for them to know their report is being read and since the RSS feed has come into play there has been more comments on reports than ever before. I don't see the issue that the news is by staff. It is like saying that a member of news staff can't post in the Habbo News forum because they're Habbox News staff! Why can't members just post their news which worked well before with no problems? Interesting discussions can still be had and I'll refer again the the DIY Furni report. The RSS Feed doesn't take anything away from the forum if anything it adds a different reporting style rather than copy and pasted reports from Habbo.
Because the system before hand had no issues. None at all. This new system with a spambot which clearly is causing concerns is no better than the old system where ANYONE can post a news report. You may aswell suggest to nvr that the News Forums are closed and members can only read and reply to threads, and not create any. At least it'll make the forum less of a mess than it is now :/I would like to see the reporters name on the report and will ask nvr.

A pointless change if you ask me, one brought to existence with no real purpose other than to annoy, which seems to be working :/ The discussions won't even improve either, people enjoyed talking in an informal environment.
Not everyone is going to do that :/ They've read the article and are going to leave it at that. Not everyone is going to be interested in who wrote the article. I eat chicken, I'm not going to research the chicken's name to see what it was when I've enjoyed the meal afterwards. The idea of the RSS feed was so people could see the news and then they'd click 'read more' thus reporters getting recognition.
