Absolultely agree. It's just the same as the news reporter posting it except quicker and more convenient. The News Reporters, Joey and I will be trying to discuss the news as much as possible within the threads too to ensure good discussion.

Fair enough but honestly, it doesn't make that much of difference for people to go mad complaining about it does it? It's only a few threads a day which you don't have to view.
The other day I was in a toilet.
A voice came from the cubicle next to me: "Hello mate, how are you doing?"
I didn't want to be rude, so I said, "Not too bad, thanks."
I heard the voice again. "So, what are you up to?"
Again I answered, "Just having a quick ****... How about yourself?"
Then I heard him say "Sorry, mate, I'll have to call you back. I've got some **** in the cubicle next to me answering everything I say."

We aren't complaining, we're just giving our feedback.

So right, this is what I think SHOULD be done. At the top of the Habbo UK News and Rumours page, I think you should have a toggle box showing the latest article posted on the site, with the author. You'd do this in a notice sort of way, like HabboxForum have a notification saying that you haven't registered etc. etc. etc. but with a toggle on. I'd be happy with that, and I'm sure the News reporters would too. If you want you can chuck in a little button to cycle through the articles like a RSS feed, and it won't intrude on threads but it'll still give the News Team the recognition they do deserve.

I know you're fully against the idea of removing the RSS Feed, and I agree the reporters do need their recognition as they do a flippin' good job. I'd know that because I was once one. Tell me off for saying I was once a News Reporter, but you should value my opinion more, because I know how it is for you guys not getting what you deserve, but I know how much of a pain in the ass this is to the users. Take what I just said and I think you'll have a winning formula.

But the complaints are in the minority. You're never going to please everyone.

Then it shouldn't of been implemented. No complaints (as with the old system of no bots, just members socialising) is better than a system with a bot which is proving to cause problems. Why was this not passed onto members, considering it effects them more than the news team?

I value your opinion, as I value all members, however, as Joey said "you're never going to please everyone"

It's just a few threads a day and there isn't one for International News or Non-Habbo News so it's not clogging lots of forums up.

Do a poll asking which one members of that forum would more prefer, and then say that.

It's clogging up the most popular forum on HabboxForum, so you're pretty much clogging up the one place that does matter. I'd say that the Feedback Forum is catching up to Habbo UK News & Rumours though.

You all seem to be writing long-winded replies to eachother, but the reality is:

If we wanted to read Habbox news, we'd read it on Habbox.com.

The UK News and Rumours forum is for others to post - and news reporters usually credit articles from there.
    eek.

Well clearly we have divided opinions, I don't see the issues but you've all put some good arguments forward and some good ideas so when we review the RSS feed (we being news and general management) we'll see what the best solution is.

It could either stay as it is, be removed completely or the ideas for toggle or even sub forum could be implemented. Decision isn't up to me

If there is a discussion already then simply just post in the original thread.

The bot has produced some good results thus far such as the discussion in the "Habbo to introduce DIY Furni" thread.
If the news wasn't being read as people could read it on the forums, surely more things should be done on the site rather than just moving the reports onto the forum. I don't post as often as I used to, but one forum i always regularly viewed was News and Rumours. I liked the critique of the users and that includes the odd spelling mistake and grammatical error. If you are going to move reports from the site into the forum surely you should stop normal users creating new threads in there because the reporters should have it all covered.

As for the 'good results' such as the discussion about DIY furni, surely if this thread was posted by a normal member the discussion would still take place? You cannot say that simply because a news reporter posted it more discussion is generated. I could find you evidence of pages of discussions that happened before this change was implemented.

I think the system gets trialed for 7 days and then we have a poll. You cannot assume complaints are in the minority. If a public poll shows users prefer the habbox news reports being put in there i will gladly accept it. At present the only huge supporters are news-related staff.
