Despite the little 'scam' (can't think of better word?), she still agreed to go on a date with you so that's a good thing. You both sound shy as you didn't dare go up to her and you said she 'shyly' agreed so maybe MSN would be a good idea for you to both come out of your shells and get more confident with each other. I think you should try and make the effort to go out with each other more than once a week as eventually, she may start to feel unloved.
