I think you're wrong. I do understand but you're just critisising everyone who recieves EMA for wasting "your parents money".

£50 on a month of sandwhiches really isn't that much considering how much the sandwhiches are. You don't even know how much the sandwhiches I purchase cost yet your critisising me for wasting your parents cash when it's funded by my parents. You must be forgetting that my parents pay tax too, so it's not really you're parents cash thats being spent on my EMA.

Well, let's do the maths. £50 a month, divided by 20-23 working days a month, is...£2.17- £2.50 a day. I'm not critising everyone on EMA. It's easy to understand my criticism when you read some of the posts in this thread.

£50 wasn't an exact figure and I don't spend upto £2.50 on sandwhiches. I usually buy two sandwhiches that come up to £1.05 from Greggs (yum). You're obviously critisising the whole EMA system because of the fact that you don't recieve it, I doubt you'd be kicking up such a fuss if you were entitled to it.

No- I wouldn't be kicking up a fuss, but I am clever enough to realise that the system isn't fair. At the end of the day, I'm the one getting punished for having parents who 'apparently' have good jobs and earn a fairly high income.

Not every parent can have a good job and earn good money from their income. Just because your parents earn alot doesn't mean others don't.

So? Even if you do have a good job, it doesn't exactly mean that parents can afford to dish out £30 every week.

Well my point was that instead of complaining about struggling to afford them, then he should have just made some at home for a third of the price.

I've got nothing against anyone that receives EMA- just the system itself.

i have no problem with people getting EMA it's the obscene bonuses people get.

And I know someone who is loaded and lives in a massive house and uses his EMA to buy PS3s and stuff.

You're not getting punished at all. Your parents earn a substantial amount more than the people who recieve EMA therefore your parents should be able to pay for your expenses.
