    Default Download

    Hey,

I just downloaded a 4.1GB file.. but Firefox said it had finished at 3.48GB, now I can't extract it as its damaged.

Is there any programs I can use to tell it to carry on downloading the file, kinda like the way torrents check what data is already there, then gets the needed data.

    I don't wanna waste another 4GB of bandwidth :/

    Thanks

Yes you can...rename it to a .dat file and then use a program such as Download Accelerator Plus to continue downloading it.

I had the same thing UPLOADING an adobe cs3 setup file the other day... uploading in firefox and stopped randomly at 99%... incomplete file. That took ages (upload speeds) and used a ton of bandwith.
    Kind Regards,

    Guy

Hmm, I don't know much about Firefox, but you could try downloading the file in IE because I never get any problems as I have IE.
