It's just Marvel that aren't good at making third films. X-Men III, Spider-man 3, Blade Trinity, etc. They were all nothing compared to their predecessors.

well film-making is a business. if it will make money, they'll do it. so unless everyone unanimously decides that they would not pay money to see a second or third of a certain movie, they're going to make it. but the market speaks for itself, and sequels sell.

Most films these days are about money, not story or art or original concepts...

Marvel + Outside production company. Maybe in a few years we'll see if they can on their own when Iron Man 3 comes around.
