    Hey,

I work at a college and we want to make a weekly podcast but have some questions... Can you please let me know the following:

    1. Can songs be played on the podcast without a license?
    2. Do you need any sort of broadcasting rights/licenses?
    3. Is there anything else that needs to be taken into account?

Not broadcasting as long as it's internet only, but you do need a licence to play music.

They take a long time to set up, require knowledgeable students to operate it when you leave and a relatively large bandwidth on your server as podcasts are often big.

Or, you could upload it to iTunes.

But still, no music without a license.

No because Habbox do not host their own Shoutcast as far as I know, so it would be their host breaking the law if they hadn't paid royalties (However I'm not saying they haven't).

I'd personally go for this if I was going to start podcasting, decent price too.
