That's not true, all of my accounts (except 4) are registered to fake emails and the ones that have fake emails got the free credits aswell.

I only managed to remember three of my clones password.

And yeah, I don't think your email needs to be activated. I think your clones needed to be active (at least once) during a 30 day period.

i think you have had to buy some items on it as myu clones who have ever bought something got 5 creds but the ones who never had an item from the catalogue didnt get them.

Or maybe it was just because i was more active on the ones i bought credits on.
