So take the opinions of the "companies" and ignor the comments of potential customers? Really business savvy.]

Ok maybe thats over critical, but I just wouldn't buy from a site that looks like it was made in 1999 and hasnt been updated in ages.

Right Jason... Did you ever stop and think: They're saying a crap design is good, so you'll use it to lose customers?

But as Mr Matt said, they're not going to be buying from you. We might.
If I go to buy hosting. I like something sleek, simple and decently coloured.

Lol. I understand what you guys mean about the design being a bit cartoony looking etc. But IMO, if you are looking for great services + uptime, are you really going to base the good services+low prices on their homepage layout? A bit odd if you do, as with your hosting you'll be in your panel 99% of the time

it doesnt look crap. I wouldn't go that far. It's OK. The only thing that is annoying is the globe up the top. Apart from that I like it.

I agree with you Craig. It's a nice layout for what you're planning to do with it. The globe needs to be addressed.. Perhaps put another image there?

I was using it as an example.
I just hate the layout personally.

    Hey,

Personally, I think that http://infinitie.net/index.php is very Web 1.0, but their new layout isn't. From some of the feedback I've gained on other forums has been 99% positive, so I can't understand some of the negative comments here...

Thing is Jason on the other forums they will mainly focus on the hosting side of things. Here, we focus on Web Development which is coding and designing so we may know a lot more than them

As I said the layout is very nice and professional for a hosting layout but the globe needs to go, fast
