Also, say I got a domain from them for a year, then if they decide to start charging a really high price after that year so I decide to go somewhere else, will I still be able to get the same domain name elsewhere?

The domain would have to expire, then yes, you could buy elsewhere.

Lol . Well I'm not 100% sure whether I'll go through with running a fansite. I'm only doing it so far because I realised I can as it's not as hard as it seemed. So I was going to try and get a free one for now and see how things go .

If you're trying to make a fansite without paying a dime, good luck lol. I've been down that road. I got myself a free shoutcast which isn't that hard and a free domain.

Let's just say the shoutcast sucked and the domain was taken from me after a month lol.

We got all of HabboMedia.net for free, didn't pay a penny, well maybe we did for the shoutcast but that like was a quid. Rest was paid in Habbo credits lol.
