I paid £2600 for it, I saw it for £2675, not much of a saving but better than nothing ! I'm not entirely sure on the insurance, it keeps changing haha, Check out confused.com, gocompare, moneysupermarket, etc.. I did get a quote from Barclays for insurance for it... Nine and a half thousand pound

Erm, I'm pretty sure it's Insurance Group 6 from that list!
Keep checking every available site, I recently spent hours over the course of a week checking and checking as my insurance was up for renewal, it paid off in the end. There are also companies that allow you to be a named driver and still allow you to build up your no claims, that's providing of course that one of your parents is prepared to be the main policy holder, it could save you a small fortune. So do check them out thoroughly

Yeah, I will keep checking, I have plenty of time to browse about though. I saw a company that would insure the car whilst I was on a provisional licence for £800, I think it was £60 monthly, which isn't too bad for me at the minute as I could drive around with parents.

That sounds like a good idea, having parents as the main policy holder, although, Only my dad drives and he wasn't too keen of me getting the car in the first place, So i don't think that'll be a good idea, haha. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Insurance is rediculously high for males, and I do sympathise that they are all labelled as boy racers. But it seems to me you've bought something that you are proud of, and intend looking after, your father may come round in time and like the idea of helping you

    Anyway I've said enough

Finally a girl that sympathies =D all the girls I know went on and on about their insurence being low when mine originally for my Mini was £3,700. Luckily I did pass plus which drove the price down to £1500 and now I have had a year and nine months no claims it has gone down to £400 ... meanwhile the girls who I hang out with who have had accidents insurance has risen and have to pay more than me mwah.

But anyway to the thread starter: Nice car looks awesome =D good luck with your insurance

Edit: Oh yeah another way of making your insurence lower ... lie to the company that insures you and say you have a cheaper quote somewhere else see how low they'll go!

I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.

Indeed, it's really silly. You are correct, I will do my best to look after it !
Haha, you was certainly correct, he started asking me about it tonight and looking for insurance for it!

£2600 and it isn't insured at the moment, which is why I have it off the road.

As for Dan, PassPlus seems like a good idea, especially since you save so much money on insurance by doing it, lol. I like your idea of fibbing to the insurance company and telling them that I have a cheaper quote elsewhere, crafty. !!
