What comes to mind is all official fansites turning down their official status :/ It'll mean Habbo will have alot of work cut out for them, they have to remove the official fansites page for a start and will kinda prove that fansites are not happy and that fansites are aware that Habbo do not deserve their services in promoting a pretty lame company. But it depends if fansites really do love their nulled pixel image which proves nothing of worth or value, from Habbo, at least

I have to agree and think this should be the way forward maybe some habbox staff member should be contacting ALL official sites from every hotel but we all know that every uk site would agree to resign and then one or two of them would have not done so really lol

Even if that was still the case, previously having like 12 official sites then 10 gone then now 2 still a bit jump and would probably get the point across, it would also mean new sites would suck up and get official though if habbo were that desp for official sites

I agree and then once resigned as official just carry on as before if habbo want anything removing then they must provide a link to the exact post or image which to be honest is a full time job lol as soon as that posts removed it could be reposted by a different member.
Lets get the decent habbo news back instead all the pro habbo crap that has to be posted because of official rules.

Pffft, those sites will be dead within a few months, once loads of visitors start visiting and they have to find a way to pay their bills.

They can't request posts to be removed can they? Only images that are copyright to them

Not sure if they still do but they used to ask for posts to be removed that contained info taken from their servers etc and anything bad towards sulake/habbo lol I think they believe they have some sort of super power and control everything on the net.
a proper company sending threatening letters in most cases to a teen site owner is more than enough but i think with habbox they have come up againnst people who wont be pushed around by the big bullies
The only power they have is removing sites as official as far as i can see :s habbox hosts itself on its own servers as far as im aware so they cant go running to a hosting company for breach of their T&Cs. Maybe the data centre has T&C's but I think the only way habbo could get anything altered is by taking this to court and then if habbox win great but if they lose just move servers to a more lenient country.

they cant stop people talking about them as long as its true etc
i cant see them being able to take a domain unless they buy it at a premium rate.

Because the domain has habbo in it doesn't mean nothing?

If i registered a company called "Forum" i couldn't get any site with forum in it removed.. Habbo don't have the right to change any domain with the word habbo in it because they own the company?

i.e. If i owned vista.com microsoft couldn't sue me/get it deleted because they later released a operating system called vista?

If habbox was breaking any laws the company could contact the data centre from what im aware and get the server put off, but habbox would have been contacted by the data centre before hand to remove any files which infringe the copyright act.

But habbo would have to email habbox giving a time limit for all offending images and posts to be removed as well as a link to each and every one.
Habbox does really well moderating but when things are borderline it is up to habbo to provide all the information for each and every post or image to be removed in other words they have no chance unless they create a full time job for somebody.
If habbox had not been contacted then the data centre would probably send habbo a blunt reply at not following the correct procedure.
