Not really cause we have runescape trading section, and it isnt a runescape fansiteThe thing, if it had to be re-branded, there would only be like one Habbo forum because the amount that there are now would make it a Habbo fansite. The trade forums will have to go, the Habbo graphics forums will have to go and be replaced with one forum for MMRPG Alts (or whatever the blooming things are called) which can include Habbo. Habbo News, rumours, trades, rooms and so on will probably have to go in Console Games with multiple sub-forums depending on how much they're used. A catagory could work though, and the excuse "It's talked about alot" would hide any idea for it being a Habbo fansite forum
I doubt they'll be able to copyright the word "Habbo" so much that they have control over which sites may use it. If they did, The Times newspaper will be in trouble and reviews on any media will have to be removed. Granted, I think they have the power to forcefully remove words from sites that they choose from.![]()
That's not exactly a big section though, is itHabbox Forum has 11 catagories, 3 of which are Habbo Catagories (alterations has Habbo as the main catagories). Runescape doesn't even have a catagory to itself, it has a forum in a Console Games catagory
The forum would have to get rid of the Habbo catagories to make it less obvious as a Habbo Fansite, because the other catagories are general forums, rather than serve a specific company, league or character subject. The Habbo forums would either be deleted or removed to a small forum buried in Console Games, possibly above Runescape. That way it lowers the standards of the forum and Habbo would be no more or less important than the Runescape discussions.

How come some of the biggest forums in the world can survive purely on Adsense (And LivingWithStyle before it was sold was earning $4000 a week in revenue alone) and something as small as habbox cannot survive without extracting money from its users. Either poor money management or theres something else
EDIT: LivingWithStyle even paid its users to post and all this from google adsense!

Because ads arent clicked, majority ignore them and / or use ad blocker.
Shortchange? I used to watch it all the timeI remember a few years ago they had that watchdog program for children on cbbc. Do they still have it they would be a good source to get in contact with as they speak on your behalf etc. Sounds stupid i know but they are more likely to deal with a teenage targeted website that the real watch dog lol.
Best bet is newsround as if the story gets broadcasted there i'm sure the main BBC news will also do a little story about it too.
Because Habbox aren't upto that level yet. Also most people on here know how to avoid ads/ know they're dodgy where as on other large forums users are clueless. How come some of the biggest forums in the world can survive purely on Adsense (And LivingWithStyle before it was sold was earning $4000 a week in revenue alone) and something as small as habbox cannot survive without extracting money from its users. Without a specific forum topic Habbox is going to die out as we aren't going to be able to get any new users. The vetran users on here may not play Habbo anymore but we all found out about HabboxForum via Habbo.
Not true, not everyone is clueless, Alot of these forums know alot more about computers than anyone on here.

Look on there none of the biggest sites use VIP, VIP is a money making scheme.
The habbo categories would have to go yes and make it more a general graphics category and a general trading category. In these general categories are subforums for Habbo alts, runescapeg with the alts etc but obviously the more popular ones would get more exposure. subforum for habbo trading would have everything it currently has but take you one click of the mouse button extra to get there. runescape would also have its subforum for trading but if not so popular will not have as many subforums in its subforum as the habbo one lol 1 click extra to get to each of which isnt to much hassleThe thing, if it had to be re-branded, there would only be like one Habbo forum because the amount that there are now would make it a Habbo fansite. only time will tell.
You have to remember most users here come for habbo and other bits and most are not out of their mid teensHow come some of the biggest forums in the world can survive purely on Adsense (And LivingWithStyle before it was sold was earning $4000 a week in revenue alone) and something as small as habbox cannot survive without extracting money from its users. EDIT: LivingWithStyle even paid its users to post and all this from google adsense!what is the point of them clicking on an advert offering things they have no need for or cant afford to buy?
The price of the server for the bigger forums would be similar to the price habbox pays for its server i would have thought? (correct me ppl) so the more users and the ones more interested in the adds will click and earn those other forums alot more cash
They run one server to run a forum i would presume and habbox pays for 3 servers (habbox forum, habbox live streaming, habbox.com) so the costs here are much greater.
I do know the costs of all this and i can assure you its not cheap and i also know the average they get for adsense and for vip per month which at the minute is not making any profit. in the past when there has been profit they do the xmas charity thing and donate to a great cause which habbo/sulake by removing this feature are in essence could be costing a child their life.
I cant speak on behalf of other sites offering VIP type features but i do imagine their owners have a new phone or designer clothes every few months so can sort of see why sulake want to crack down on it.
Maybe habbo could make a rule that ALL sites that sell VIP features must be registered as a business or as said before a charity? there would never be any tax to pay as their is no profit made and then once a year habbo could recieve a breakdown of the ins and outs just to ease their jealous conciences.
From your post it makes me think you are working for sulake and saving them a fortune in toilet rolls with your brown tongue.
Well when some fool posts without knowing how much cash comes in and goes out also implying sierk lives in a palcae from hxf funds you deserve all you get.
I didnt attack you i gave a good account of why habbox needs vip and have seen the evidence to back up my claimno way would i post figures on here though as its not my place to do so. just a sarcastic comment about you was worth it
i dont think sulake needs to take on any care in the community people just yet but keep an eye out
