But if its changed to donations and then via that you are offered a coloured name in return for how ever much you donate, (£1 = 1 month). Habbox could give certain colours out in each month and everyone who donates in that month gets the certain colour months VIP. But ye good we can still, in a way have VIP.

If that is the case, as long as we remove VIP competitions for Habbo furni (which were becoming hard to do anyway) we SHOULD be allowed to sell VIP.
It costs nothing to be a good friend.

If that quote is true, in which case the "cease selling VIP" email Habbo sent was completely pointless. :S

Hmmm, who wants to phone up a legal internet department and tell them Sulake are suggesting they own internet code which anyone can code?

Also, isn't VIP just a nice name given to a special group with different coloured names? Sulake are terrible with contradictions. Habbox should just keep selling VIP, it seems Sulake have no grounds to stop websites from doing what they like, especially when, as Redtiz said, it's only because people are re-creating HabboHomes and Sulake have no legal control over this, because they cannot suggest they own any part of a "cloned" version when anyone can re-create it. Unless the code is completely identical however. If people want to have a HabboHome on their page, all they need to do is take the Habbo one and change it so it isn't recognisable.

They also seem to be attacking everyone with this. The guily are charged and the innocent are given the same treatment. Sulake are just being lazy, by targeting everyone when Habbox for example are not using HabboHome coding nor are they selling Habbo t-shirts :/

Could habbo have realised that they are upsetting alot of people over this and moving the goal posts? why say vip when they say its more for stealing habbo content and a group of people taking on the chinese who are marketing fake designer t-shirts.

I think this rule changes whoever you speak to so the higher up the tree you go the less comeback there will be when other habbo staff disagree with what habbox is doing.

To be honest habbo are out of order throwing a random rule out without a full explanation to each site and going through each of their features to say whats ok and whats not.

The rule itself is pointless if it's about websites copying exact ideas and selling items with Habbo items on. That's a copyright issue which doesn't need to be said in fansite rules or the habbo way. It's a terms and conditions sort of rule :/
