I have been smacked by my father, but rarely, only once or twice in my entire childhood. My mother does most of the disciplining. She used a cloth hanger to cane me, but this was also rare. I guess it has helped me. :S

To be honest, I don't think spanking is really the best thing to do. If you spank a child, he would only not do the bad thing he did because he was afraid of another spanking, not do it because he knows it is wrong. Parents should do explaining first. (Although, after multiple times and he still doesn't listen, spank away!)

i was hit ALOT as a child, but my mum and dad would take it further and lift me up by the neck etc, and if i couldnt do my homework, i remember one day i dad winded me because i was crying so much because he kept pulling my hair and i couldnt take a breath after a fullstop. Then there was the wooden spoon, which wasnt too bad, but yeah.


i reallllly dont agree with it, srsly ive got to the point now were i backchat my parents so much because im scared they'll hit me, to make them scared of me, if that makes sence :S

ive been slapped by my teacher when i was in primary 1.
uhm ive been caned by my mum when i was young.
been abused by my dad when i was VERY young just coz i defended my mum.
and er, i got hit by a belt when i failed my exams.

looking back, i thought its more of a lesson to be learn. my mum meant well when she did all that. my father, lol thats just not acceptable.
all these thats happened made me stronger.
im one tough nut to crack now.

oh that's a bit extreme, getting hit by a belt! i got hit by one of my teachers on sports day in my first year and she took me by the throat coz i kept changing the scores on the points so my team was winning lol she got sacked tho

my mam still smacks me on the head if i'm stupid lol but i'm just like "whatever" i don't disrespect her though so she has no reason to hit me, people who do get hit probably deserve it or their parents are physcos. I don't think i was ever hit as a child 'cause i'm just good.
