And of course, most things have to be approved by the GM and usually done by the GM (which isn't a problem in itself if the GM is around) so when there isn't a GM everything comes to a grinding halt. Maybe that needs to be rectified.

@Tom: Neither Jin or Myself can do it without approval from the GM first. Trust me, I've tried to bypass that before and didn't hear the last of it for a week

Edit: Woah missed the second page so most of what I said has been said before, but you get the gist
That was a really good point actually. I must admit, although there are assistants who deal with their own bits like Bomb-Head said it appears that there isn't anyone who stands in for nvr when he gets away.

Forum falls under Community rather than Content doesn't it.
Nope not really. The community AGM was in charge of the habbo based departments (Events, comps, productions etc) while content focuses on the site. The closest we have to a forum agm is David as staff editor but he's much more BTS admin than front-end decisions. Maybe either an AGM (Forum) or giving David more power over the running of the forum might take some weight of nvr while he's around and stop things like this when he isn't. Bare in mind I'm writing this off the top of my head so continutiy won't be the best

Same. I just associate content with the site and the forum is a community etc so yeah.

    :p
The other day I was in a toilet.
A voice came from the cubicle next to me: "Hello mate, how are you doing?"
I didn't want to be rude, so I said, "Not too bad, thanks."
I heard the voice again. "So, what are you up to?"
Again I answered, "Just having a quick ****... How about yourself?"
Then I heard him say "Sorry, mate, I'll have to call you back. I've got some **** in the cubicle next to me answering everything I say."

    Hey,

So first, there is a thread in Community Announcements, which I made before even reading this thread.

As for how nobody stood in for me, this was basically freak happenstance. I had everything very carefully planned out, I had my jobs redistributed among my AGMs (anyone notice how VIP has still been getting done? credit to Bomb-Head.) I didn't just stop the presses because I left. Normally Bomb-Head would step in as I did for MAD but he's just gotten used to his job and Sammeth is getting used to his job so asking them to step in as temp GM would be a bit much right now. Mr.OSH was the other one who was taking exams, so I had carefully planned everything out, basically doling out my responsibilities. However at the last minute this all changed because OSH got sick and was having a really hard time, so Sam and Bomb-Head had to compensate, which simply resulted in things not getting done. It was kind of freak happenstance, ill-timed sicknesses (no pun intended) exams, and trips kind of converged to make everything blow up.

As far as the forum, been added now, sorry about that. I know its really late but better late than never. As for the skin, we honestly couldn't find it. We're still trying, though its late, it might be nice to have it to New Year's at least. As for why we deleted it, when we switched versions I believe it was lost. I really wasn't involved in skinning before so I don't know exactly what happened to it but even if we do find it we need to make modifications to the new forum version. We don't have adequate resources to code it from scratch as we don't really have a dedicated skinner since Joshuar resigned.

That being said, I want to stress that its not OSH or David or Sam's fault that things didn't get done, it was mostly me not being able to get on to replan things because of exams and not having internet access over the trip, they did the best they could. As far as democracy, what you have to understand is that Sammeth and Bomb-Head are still pretty new to their jobs, they are now comfortable with their roles but its still some time until they're very comfortable making decisions a little outside my scope. When I stood in for MAD I had years in the management to be able to not mess things up (too much) and eventually yes Bomb-Head and Sammeth will be able to step up and act as an acting GM, however at the moment Mr.OSH was the most experienced but was away, so it was necessary to have a kind of temporary, keep things running type deal which they did amazingly, better than I could have ever asked them to.

So basically, Christmas sucking comes down to me, so sorry about that guys
