I don't know what it is about Rukia, but she's just likable by everyone. Although when compared to other female protagonists in shonens, such as Sakura from Naruto, it's easy to see why everyone does like her.

I'd slap the creator of Bleach if he gave Renji a movie.
I hate Renji, Ishida, Chad AND RUKIA. She's lame. She's at a captains level but is such a damsel in distress.

It's easy to hate Chad and Ishida but I quite like Renji. At least he stands a chance in some situations, has Bankai etc. But Chad and Ishida are basically fighting a losing battle in the current arc as was proved from they're fight with Szayel Aporro Granz - they tried everything and failed badly. I've never really liked Chad (it's quite funny looking back when he tried to take down Shunsui in Soul Society arc given that Shunsui is now fighting the Primera Espada - ambitious much? )
I just like Rukia because of the first arc, I liked her back then and it's still my favourite arc but she's not really in the show as much now, she's given the same amount if not less air time than Chad, Ishida and Inoue who are globally hated.

Renji used to be ranked quite high, even getting to 3rd and 4th in the character polls but he dropped out of the top 10 a while ago so I doubt he'd get a movie.

Anyway, Renji is like the definition of cool.
Ishida is awesome because he always exceeds our expectations. He could fight on par with a captain in my opinion.
Chad started off really cool, but then he became seriously underused so everyone started to dislike him. I laughed at how he had five seconds of screen time in the second Bleach movie.
I wouldn't say Rukia is at a captains level. She just happened to take out that balls espada because he was a total *****. How he was ranked higher than Yammy, who was beating the **** out of Ichigo, is beyond me. She's unseated because Byakuya's a ***** or something. Ikkaku is stronger than her and he's ranked 3rd in the the 11st squad, or was it 4th... Actually that's a stupid comparison because he's strong enough to be a captain. Wow I just realised Ikkaku needs more screen time man! He's cool! Dunno who to compare Rukia to, but she isn't as strong as a captain.

Infact maybe even the most screen time so far, and he isnt globally hated. Don't lump him with Orihime! :evil: Orihime also appears multiple times in each episode, which is quite a lot.

Even thought Ikkaku has the specs to be a Captain, they made it clear in the manga that there was a big difference between his level and that of a captain. He got beat down bad then Komamura stepped in and ended it quickly. This is baring in mind that Komamura, cool as he may be, can't be THAT strong a captain being beaten by Zaraki and a pre-hueco mundo Aizen (althought Zaraki and Aizen aren't exactly lightweights )

That dog captain is the least cool of them all, I hated him, he was such a waste! Ikkaku could beat him using bankai to be honest.

I thought Komamura was quite cool but his character often sides with Yamamoto who we know makes stupid desiscions 24/7, but I think you're overrating Ikkaku. Yes he is a great character but he isn't that suited to a captain rank. He struggled against that unranked Arrancar, then again so did Toshirou lol.
Ye Ichigo has been offscreen a lot but I suppose that's all on par with this (probably) final arc fitting in all the characters. Still, even in the manga he's only JUST coming back into it this coming week and it'll take a long time with all the fights to get to that point in the anime. I think I could use a break from him though and Inoue. :@

Ikkaku done better in his fight than Toshrio I thought, so I don't see why he wouldn't make a good captain.

If this is the last Bleach arc, then it's gonna feel really weird having no Bleach to wait for each week, and none to discuss. I've been disappointed with it a lot lately, but I don't want it to finish. I kinda wish that filler arc lastest a bit longer so they wouldn't have to recap for five minutes every episode as well, encase they started to get too close to the manga.

I know! The recaps are like 10 mins long. If they just milk the fights then they could easily stay far enough behind because there is a lot to come. Btw, IchiRuki or IchiHime?
