    I'm on TalkTalk and we get it free. On 8Meg package but get 2.6Mb, similar to you!

    Because it is unfair and a bad thing to do and they could be on a limited plan and you could be using all their bandwidth. If they catch you (which they most likely will eventually) I'm sure they wouldn't be very happy. I think it might be illegal but I'm not sure.

    Yes, it is illegal if you don't have their permission.
