Default Anyway to transfer recordings from top up tv?

I want to put some family guy episodes on my ipod instead of downloading them is there any way I can transfer them on to my memory stick from my top up tv to the memory stick then on to my computer?

I've tryed this, didn't work. The only thing i can think of is modding the drive it records to, and i think it would be fairly simple because its a SATA Connector. So in theory, you could take the box to bits, unplug the SATA drive, then plug it in to your SATA ports inside your computer.

I doubt the hard drive would be in a readable format.

Dont know if this can be done with the box you have. But the new humax Freesat that can record HD does allow you to do this.
