i felt no pain at all getting my lip done, but the thought of getting my tongue done makes me cringe

Aye that'll be because when you bite your tongue it hurts lotssssss. Strangely enough though the needles they use tend to be quite sharp rather than that blunt pain of your teeth so because of how the nerves are arranged in your tongue you generally feel nothing at all other than the slight pressure as the muscle's broken through (and the clamp of course).

i love certain piercings, but piercing for the sake of it just looks crap.
i have my lip pierced, and i'm doubling it up to spiderbites & my boyfriend has snakebites.

i'm stretching my ears soon, and i'll probably get a couple more ear piercings, but that's about it.

i hate septum piercings, they just look terrible. & i don't see the point of tongue piercings. most people who get them done to make their sex life better get their tongues pierced in the wrong place to do anything, anyway
