HxHD closed - turned into a lounge

HxHD was a HELP desk, so if someone was looking for somewhere to chill they wouldn't see "Habbox Help Desk" and think ... I'll go there.
They would look for a lounge or chill room
seeing as HxHD was mainly used for chilling Jay the decision was made to make it into a Chill room

People are just gonna use 8freak8's room anyways so its all good.

I don't see why you're trying to cause problems for the lounge before it's even opened.

For a start it wasn't my idea so don't even accuse me, and its because people like hxhd, not some room which is going to be full of idiots from radio no doubt.

The luonge will fail soon anyways so.

It took years for HxHD to get the popularity it has almost always had. Maybe now is the time for a change so that popularity doesnt go down. Regular users will be in the new room which will bring new people. Any way the OLD HxHD room is under refurbishment atm so it looks like it will be in their so for everyone who has favourtied it they will still be able to go in their.

If it's not offcial it shouldn't cause you any problems then Leah, I don't know about the others but I'm certainly not trying to cause any problems I'm just hanging there because the previous place I enjoyed hanging at was closed I had to just find the next closest thing.

It's unlikely but we have to give it a go first, see what happens. Who knows it could take off and be full 24/7.

I agree with Immenseman! seeing as the desk was usually used for chilling anyway having a chill out room can't be such a bad thing? Eespecially if it offers help too!

You would agree but surely a chillout room offering help IS a helpdesk? People often go to helpdesks to chill, no-one goes to a lounge to ask questions

This is the main problem I see. Changing the name of something always takes a while to sink in for everyone and doesn't always even recover let alone surpass the previous.

Furthermore, the theme of the room has now been lost. As HxHD it did have some sort of purpose even if the staff didn't fulfill it and members didn't use it much, but now it really is just a chat room like any other. The only long term successful "lounge" type rooms I can think of are Gothic House and Landa's Gay Girl Bar which have been around for years with various owners and exist as they do only because of the large friendbase they garner. With nothing to now offer, I don't see any reason why anyone other than the regulars would now visit HxLounge - other than perhaps for HxL events and parties, and we've seen what peoples' sentiments about that are.

If HxL did party in it it would make it even less popular imho, as the only time hxl listeners are gonna be in there is when theres a DJ on thats in that room, other than that they'll be in other rooms, but as HxL comes in it means more people get annoyed at the hxl members and go there less, decreasing popularity imho..

As there changing the name, i think people are saying "Oh it doesnt matter they all search nvrspk4 anyways" but i doubt they do, even i type [HxHD] when i want to go there, and now it's not gonna be there so less people again.

The fact that 99% of HxHD (or whatever its gonna be called) staff are DJ's doesn't help the fact now, so its most liekly gonna be full of the 11 year old idiots shouting it.
