Good evening, hope you're all wearing your tuxedoes as you read this... I am anyway... wait what. The results were meant to take place yesterday, but I had to stay behind at school to manage the disco, and then get ready to go to a 8:30 wedding and then sleep with ya mam.

But anyway, let's get this show on the road shall we?

Most Disappointing Game of the Year
Call of Duty: World at War

Maybe WWII was a step back too far for most people, and well - I seriously disagree with this decision. Sure the multiplayers not as punchy as COD4, and the whole single player campaign is a little wishy washy, but this is Call of Duty for Cod's sake... and well, I guess you all just hate another taste of depression and old brass.
2nd place. Haze
3rd place. Grand Theft Auto IV (THANK YOU!)

Biggest OMGWTH Moment
Free Radical Goes Bust

It's kinda hard letting go of this... such a legendry developer just sank like a fat man tied to bricks in the middle of the ocean, and well - we'll miss yer FR... even if Haze was iffy.
2nd place. FFXIII on X360

Overall Handheld Game of the Year
PSP: God of War Chains of Olympus

Good choice... that's all I gotta say

Wii Game of the Year
Mario Kart Wii

With an astonishing 17 votes, it's hard to dismiss this as a simple gimmicky car racing game. I ain't played it, but you guys voted it your top Wii game... of 2008

Xbox 360 Game of the Year
Fable II

Well, thank god an unique game won this time. It was close, but Fable beat Gears to a pulp, and I can't wait to play it...

The Purple View Ultimate Game of The Year

Wow, I can't believe you guys would forgive this. I can't think of anything good about this game, but I'm sure you can! Well umm... Free Radical did what they did best... hype and delivered... hmmm? I don't know about chu but I think someone is cheating with there votes.

Well that's it for The Purple Video Game Awards, catchu next year... and we've got a better sense of video game quality... or maybe you got it right, I'll go buy Haze now for £4... or £3.50 at Woolworths with all my vouchers... ohwait.
