Don't mean to sound patronizing but a good sniper only needs to take one shot so the recoil should be last thing on your mind.

Not for me personally because it sounds stupid but at level 55 gold cross i don't need points so i still get enjoyment out of COD4 by spending games taking out one or two people from a concealed position with very well placed shots. The annoying thing about COD4 sniping is that only time effects your shot and the bullet its not effected by wind speed or distance so it makes shooting less fun

Edit: I only tend to play HS&D so two per round works out quite fun lol

I like either of the bolt actions. Too many nubs use the semi auto snipers online and basically spray with them.

Edit: By 'too many nubs' I don't mean everyone that uses it is a nub, just a lot of **** snipers do.

I personally prefer the Druganov, but i guess its all down to personal preference
